I was in Liverpool during the Coronation a few years back and I got to see a huge collection of Turner Paintings at the Museum on Prince Albert’s Pier.

Incredible life event for me! During the trip, I got to do a number of Plein Air Paintings in England and Scotland while traveling n the Great Rail Journeys.

I’m no expert but I have always considered art authentication as more of a science. I think in the realm of science AI can indeed be useful (though even there it can be used for good or ill). For the creative world however, I think extreme wariness and skepticism is warranted. It reminds me of the early days of social media, how fun it was to make new connections and share our worlds before the fakery, disinformation and tribalism took over. It’s a double edged sword.

Nice work. The message I read is going from sunlight into darkness which seems to interpret our worldwide condition… violence, cruelty etc. From my point of view, I see a mass return to God for truthful security, therefore I see”hope” for us, not darkness, blindness and ignorance.

I guess when pushing 80, the memory gets a little foggy or confused but I seem to recall seeing a slide of something similar while attending a university lecture in the 70s on weird art which included Duchamp’s urinal. Magritte’s, “Ceci n’est pas une pipe” and Piero Manzoni, who apparently sealed feces in 90 tobacco tins. Weird art indeed.
